Scope of Practice
- Comfortable in performing bedside ultrasound procedures to help in diagnosis and management
- Emergency resuscitation (medical or traumatic), stabilize patients’ condition, then determine disposition
- Follow up on patient care, treatment, and recovery
- Identify and immediately manage serious and life-threatening conditions
- Oversee a wide range of medical and surgical problems across many areas and all age groups
- Perform lifesaving interventions
- Timely evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and disposition for a broad spectrum of illness and injuries
- Triage patients in standard and disaster settings
