Keratoconus Specialty Clinic

Protecting Your Cornea. Supporting Your Vision.

Meet the Specialists

Meet our corneal specialists, providing personalized advice and treatment planning for people living with keratoconus.

Overview

Keratoconus causes the cornea, the clear front surface of the eye, to become thinner and change shape. This can affect the way light focuses and make vision blurred or distorted.

At Aman Hospital’s Keratoconus Specialty Clinic, we assess the condition and discuss options to support your vision and address progression.

Care may involve different approaches for different goals: improving vision and helping stabilize the cornea. Your specialist will explain which options are suitable for your eyes.

Your Care Journey

Your consultation will explore changes in your vision and previous glasses or contact lens prescriptions. Examination and imaging help your specialist understand the corneal shape and whether it is changing.

Cross-linking uses vitamin B2 drops and ultraviolet light to strengthen the cornea. Its main aim is to stabilize progressive keratoconus; it does not guarantee that glasses or contact lenses will no longer be needed. Your specialist will explain benefits, risks and recovery before treatment.

Other options may be recommended to improve vision, depending on the stage of the condition. Regular review remains part of the plan.
